  • Lodge Hill is not an isolated brownfield site, but is part of Medway's proud military-industrial heritage.
  • The site has been shaped and defined by over 130 years of military activity.
  • Due to the consolidation of military facilities, the RSME who currently occupy the site, will be relocating to Bicester in 2012 and this site will become surplus to MOD requirements.
  • The major military settlement patterns have formed the basis of the proposed redevelopment plans, including such features as the paths of railway lines, boundary walls, fence lines, dry-cotton stores, The Lodge, pillboxes and a WW1 Ak-Ak gun emplacement.
