Upcoming Exhibitions Display Emerging Ideas for Lodge Hill
13 November 2009Land Securities is holding its next round of public exhibitions to show its emerging ideas for Lodge Hill and local residents are being invited to view the latest information and provide their feedback.
Land Securities has been selected by Defence Estates to bring forward a new mixed-use development near Chattenden, once the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Barracks site becomes surplus to MoD requirements in 2012. The development has the potential to create in the region of 5,000 new homes, together with education and community facilities and new employment opportunities over the next 20 years.
This latest round of exhibitions marks the culmination of eight months of community consultation, during which Land Securities has received a great deal of feedback and insights to help determine how Lodge Hill could meet the aspirations of the local community. The latest plans incorporate a wide range of local views, opinions and comments, and the upcoming exhibitions provide further opportunities for people to offer their thoughts prior to Land Securities submitting information to Medway Council as part of its Core Strategy in 2010.
